Dr. Michael Mellman graduated from Dartmouth in 1983, earning Magna Cum Laude honors. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan, from which he graduated in 1987. For the next three years, he did an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital and the Memorial Sloane Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, both being affiliates of Cornell University Medical Center. He also did a fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Currently, Dr. Mellman is in private practice in Palm Beach County, Florida, where he has been practicing since 1992. He is affiliated with both the Delray Community Hospital and the Bethesda Memorial Hospital.

He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Metabolism.

Dr. Mellman maintains professional affiliations with the American Diabetes Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal medicine, the Southern Medical Association, the Palm Beach County Medical Society, the Florida  Medical Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He is also a Member of the Board of Directors of the South Palm Beach County Jewish Community Center.

Dr. Maria Gutierrez did her undergraduate work at Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts and Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce, Puerto Rico, from where she graduated in 1992. She received her medical education from the Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She did her residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, where she also had her fellowship in Endocrinology.

She has been in private practice in Palm Beach County, Florida since 2001.

She is certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

She is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Endocrine Society, the  American Association of Clinical Endocrinologist and the American Diabetes Association.
